THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Gary R. Becker serves as the executive director for Biblically Balanced Ministries, Inc. His desire is to be an enabler of others in equipping people and churches to demonstrate Christ's love through balanced living and ministry.
With more than thirty years experience in pastoral ministry he now serves as a Barnabas in coming alongside pastors, people and churches as an encourager.
In addition to his ministry with BBM, Gary serves as the Senior Pastor at
David's Church in
Millersburg,
PA. The church incorporates the
principles of Biblically Balanced Ministries into the Mission, Vision and Strategy of the local church.
His pastoral experience began in a small urban church in northern New Jersey. Since that time he has pastored churches with multiple staff in suburban areas. Most of the pastoral experience was in CBAmerica churches and one independent Bible church. There have been experiences of seeing dynamic growth and times of transition. It could be said, "he knows the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat." The diversity of experience has increased the insight and understanding of many of the struggles facing churches.
Serving in leadership with CBInternational, on mission boards and developing evangelistic ministries has also
helped to prepare him for the leadership of Biblically Balanced Ministries. He has also served on the Board of Governors for Northeastern Bible College. Serving in several of these positions, he has led in
Mission and Vision development with various ministries and churches.
Visionary and administrative leadership combined with a pastor's heart of compassion for the lost and hurting have characterized his ministry. He has sought to have the balance
that BBM represents in each of his pastoral ministries.
Educationally, he holds the degrees of a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Th. B. degrees from Northeastern Bible College, a Masters in Theological Education from New Brunswick Seminary and
has recently earned a Doctorate in Practical Theology from
Masters School of Divinity.
BBM offers a unique opportunity to use the varied experiences of Gary Becker in a broader ministry to churches primarily throughout the east coast.
THE RESOURCE (TEAM) PERSONNEL
Many of the seminars and ministries are developed with the team approach. The resource (team) personnel are Christian leaders who share the commitment to balance in ministry. They work with the Executive Director in planning and leading the seminars and often in the consulting ministries. These people are selected for their particular expertise in the specific area of ministry.
All resource personnel have expressed their agreement without mental reservation to our
mission and statement of
faith.
The team approach is another means by which BBM seeks to manifest a balance in all ministry areas.
Several volunteer workers help with such areas as mailing, Internet development, transcribing and editing. The help of such people make possible the ministry of BBM.
THE COUNCIL OF REFERENCE
Dr. James Bjornstad
A professor in apologetics, philosophy and theology at Cedarville College. Formerly, he was the President of Northeastern Bible College and founder of the Institute of Contemporary Christianity.
Dr. Gilbert Peterson
He was the President of Lancaster Bible College
from 1979-1999, and now serves as Chancellor. Previously, he was a professor at Trinity Seminary in Illinois. His reputation for leadership has been one of highest recognition.
